If you want to design for communication in a building… … you are invited to experience the building with your body before becoming brainy! This workshop was for 15 interaction design students from Norway who were visiting Berlin for a few days. Their final degree work was going to be around designing a ‘communication piece’ for a new part of their university building, some kind of interaction design – most likely a device or software, maybe something electronic. I suggested to make things tangible: The building became the canvas for their ideas, the barrier tape their metaphor for communication in the building, card board and tape their sketching material.
